It’s an engaging story with interesting characters who you get invested in. Yuuno’s horndog attitude is established early on as being a defense mechanism – it’s something he brings up when things get too real, and later on when he has difficulty explaining why he knows things he doesn’t (due to his timeline shifting). It mixes drama (with a side of tragedy) with comedy in almost equal measure. Again is more of a clear-cut sports anime than Pride of Orange is. There’s no slipping an idol plot into the work or anything like that. On the other hand though – it’s a lot more chill than netflix quiz something like Fighting Spirit – or even a more recent girls’ sports anime like Sport Climbing Girls.
Naoya Mukai is a somewhat ordinary high school boy, who just recently has entered High School, and has asked his childhood friend, Saki Saki (spelled with different characters for the first and last names) to go out with him and she’s said yes. He’s a little overly enthusiastic, and a little overly candid and honest, but it’s endearing. And then one of Naoya’s classmates, Nagisa Minase, asks Naoya out too. And does so with a Bento that she made, which is absolutely delicious.
I’ve been writing about anime for over 8 years and I can tell you there’s never any point where you realize you are ready to start reviewing. If anything the more I learn, the more I realize how little I truly know. With this in mind, there’s no reason not to start right now as you’ll learn faster that way.
They introduced a bunch of technology to the wasteland and then left. When it starts to come out that these holes starting to show up again, tensions shift from quiet disagreement into an open air war. This also leads to the theme of the series, which is established by the series full title – Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasuka? – or Are You Willing to Fall in Love with a Pervert, as Long as She’s a Cutie? Each of the possible “Cinderellas” have a variety of kinks, and as he learns of them, they try to force themselves on him.
The Eminence in Shadow Review – An Isekai Born from the Shadows!
Think about why you liked it, didn’t like it, or specific elements you feel represent what the anime is trying to do. For example, in the anime Steins;Gate I really liked the main character Okarin and thinks he’s a major element of what makes that anime so great. I liked that his paranoid view of the world was mirrored by the grey visuals and oppressive music when things started to go wrong, and loved the way his voice actor would ham it up to eleven when acting as Okarin’s alternate persona. Splitting that up between the three different categories wouldn’t be nearly as effective at portraying why he’s such a big draw for the show.
Magnificent Kotobuki has some of the best realized dogfights I’ve seen in an anime. Because the show uses World War II era airplanes instead of the modern fighter planes used in Area 88, how characters fly helps provide further characterization. In Area 88, the differences came through in the types of plains the characters flew. Here, the Kotobuki Squadron is all flying the same kind of plane, so a lot goes into how they use it. Some people use more flashy maneuvers, some people are more direct in their maneuvering, and so on.
Overtake is what I’d consider to be a more character-focused series, rather than a racing-focused series. This isn’t to say that we don’t get time spent on the actual races, and the racing scenes we get aren’t dynamic and exciting. However, the focus is on how the depictions of the race progress the story of the characters rather than the larger story of the race. By following these guidelines and infusing your personal style and insights, you can create compelling and informative anime reviews that resonate with fellow enthusiasts. Remember to always respect the opinions of others and contribute positively to the anime community.
The violence in the anime comes in short, sharp staccato bursts that don’t linker on screen. This is actually something of a problem, because while the gory violence comes quickly, shocks, and then leaves, the anime dwells on the sexual violence. Readers of the blog will be familiar with the premise from my previous reviews of the work, but a quick summary is in order. Teenage girl Rin Anotsu is the daughter of the head of the Mutenichi-ryuu dojo, when her father is is murdered, and her mother is raped and murdered as well, by the students of the Ittou-Ryuu sword school, lead by Anotsu Kagehisa.
You don’t have a variety of ship classes – battleships, frigates, carriers, etc. One ship firing beam weapons from its spinal mounted ship-to-ship weapons looks a lot like any other in the same fleet. And then the back half just lost me completely, and the only thing keeping me watching it was, well, because I wanted to do this review. On the one hand, Makie is a tremendously competent character, who is in more than a few cases better in a fight than Taki is.
The show itself focuses on a squadron of mercenaries – the Kotobuki Squadron. The squadron made up a cast of female characters who fit the various Cute Girl archetypes. There’s “wildcat” Kylie, Kylie’s best friend Emma, petite-girl-with-inferiority-complex Chika, cold calculating smartass Kate, glamorous hard drinker Zara, and leader Leona.
Ooyukiumi no Kaina (Kaina of The Great Snow Sea) Season 1 Review – A Decent Series With Fantastic World Building
I disagree with that sentiment, and there’s about a decade of anime that proves it. However, if you’re adapting one of Takahashi’s older works, that’s a core element of most of Takahashi’s romantic comedy series, so not following that rule would be breaking the vibe of what makes a Rumiko Takahashi series what it is. It’s maintained the core concepts of the characters – Ataru is a horndog who hits on any woman that moves, Lum zaps him whenever he does, Shinobu has shifted gears to basically being one of the two reasonable people in the cast (Benten being the other), and so on. Here they put together some exquisitely done fight scenes with wonderful choreography, stupendously fluid movement, and great framing. We get a scene in the last episode of the season that has the kind of mix-of-CG-and-hand-drawn-oner involving a chase down a high school stairwell that GoHands constantly tries to do and fails, but CloverWorks nails. The big arc of this season is a series of fights on a stage in a disused theater that all look great, and which really helps to develop each of our protagonists with how they fight.
